FRG25-PSLLC- PERSEVERANCE-JOB FAIR

The secondary school organized a job fair for all students to give them the opportunity to meet professionals from a variety of fields and to raise their awareness of the many career paths available to them.

On May 13th, 2025, the school welcomed professionals from La Désirade and mainland Guadeloupe who came to share their experiences and explain their daily work routines. From maritime occupations to office-based professions, students were able to interact with several professionals and ask them numerous questions about their jobs, the required qualifications, the challenges of each career, and what drives their passion on a daily basis.

This event gave students a concrete insight into the world of work and helped them better understand the choices they will soon have to make for their future careers.

Our students particularly enjoyed the job fair, which also made them realize the importance of speaking English in today’s professional world. They met professionals who use English daily in their careers — from a tour guide in Petite Terre, to a former captain of the ferry connecting Guadeloupe to La Désirade, and even a weightlifter competing in international events.
