IT26 PSLLC-INDEPENDENCE : WOMEN AND DIFFERENT RELIGIOUS FAITHS
17 mai 2026As part of the project "School Educates for Peace," the Romani school concluded the program "Women of Faith in Dialogue." This series of meetings focused on interreligious dialogue and gaining knowledge of various religioustraditions, starting from the central role of women.
The initiative was organized by Professor Sara Pisani in collaboration with the Department of Religion. It involved severalclasses from the first and second years of the Socio-Health and Scientific programs.
The Program Details
Students participated in five online meetings with five different womeN
The guests werre active members of their respective faith communities.
The sessions were introduced by journalist Francesca Baldini, who is an expert in gender and religion and serves as the coordinator for the national group "Women of Faith in Dialogue".
It is a non-profit organization active for over ten years at a national level, composed of women from diverse faiths.
Guiding Principles: Inspired by the principles of Religions for Peace Italy, the group promotes mutual respect and cooperation among different religious traditions
Voices and Perspectives
The speakers shared their spiritual and personal experiences, offering an authentic perspective on how women live theirfaith and participate in community life while overcoming cultural barriers and common stereotypes. The representatives included:

A key objective was to offer authentic perspectives that help students move beyond widespread prejudices and cultural clichés regarding religious practices. The speakers shared experiences of participating in community life while navigatingand overcoming restrictive cultural limits. By confronting diverse viewpoints, the project aims to help the new generation grow with a more aware and open-minded attitude toward global diversity.
