PSLLC - INCLUSION – ATHLETICS COMPETITION

During the Erasmus+ hosting week, students from all participating countries engaged in an athletics event designed to promote effort, challenge, and personal growth. The programme included sprint races, shot put, long-distance running (800 metres), long jump, and high jump. Students competed in mixed-nationality groups and rotated through the various events, supported by teachers and peers who helped record performances and encourage participation.

The activity provided an opportunity for students to test themselves physically, set goals, and celebrate both individual progress and group spirit. A strong focus was placed on inclusion, as students with disabilities also actively took part in the events, supported and cheered on by their peers. These students had the opportunity to challenge themselves in a safe and positive setting, reinforcing the message that everyone can contribute, perform, and enjoy being part of the group. The atmosphere was joyful and respectful, with emphasis not on winning but on giving one’s best and recognising the effort of others.

The activity also reflected the Olympic value Performance, understood as commitment, perseverance, and personal improvement, while also embracing the inclusive spirit of sport as a shared and accessible experience for all.
