PSLLC - COURAGE – ORIENTEERING BY THE RIVER PO
30 juin 2025
During the Erasmus+ hosting week, students participated in an orienteering session held in the natural environment along the River Po. Divided into international pairs, each Italian student was teamed up with a guest from Alimos (Greece), Dunkirk, or Guadeloupe (France). After receiving guidance from local orienteering experts on how to read maps and use compasses, the students set off on a course that included multiple checkpoints, clues, and small physical obstacles.
The route required navigation skills, communication, and strategic thinking. One of the most memorable moments involved crossing a creek, where students had to decide how to proceed—some used creativity and teamwork to find alternative paths or balance across a fallen tree trunk.
The activity promoted peer learning and inclusion, with students relying on one another for direction, motivation, and support. The natural setting offered a unique chance to build resilience and strengthen group bonds. Throughout the session, students demonstrated Courage by facing unexpected obstacles and staying engaged and cooperative until the final checkpoint.
