The group of students is divided into smaller groups. Each group is guided by local students through a walk around the town’s streets, to explore and learn about the history and the architecture of the main attractions and monuments, including historic buildings, such as the theatre, the Cathedral, the library, and the walk along the river. Historical understanding is thus developed through peer education. The students gain a deeper understanding of the town's history, including its founding, development, and significant events. Cultural appreciation is fostered while exploring the cultural heritage of the town and getting in touch with its traditions and customs. Foreign students engage with the local students to learn about their way of life and try to understand their experiences, challenges and aspirations. The visiting students are invited to pay attention to architectural details, artifacts, and other visual elements that provide insights into the town's past, and to take note of changes in the landscape over time and how they reflect historical trends..
