CC- HERITAGE – workshop at the Diotti museum

The students were divided into three groups and one of them visited the local displays at the Diotti museum and took part in the engraving workshop.,
First the students went on a guided tour through the works of art made by Giuseppe Diotti and other localItalian artists. They discovered how the local painters represented the landscape especially the woods along the river Po.
Then they took part into the engraving art workshop, a hands-on session where the students learnt the techniques of engraving—cutting or carving a design into a hard surface such as metal, glass, wood, or stone.
Objectives: Understand the history, uses, and significance of engraving in art and design.
Learn about different tools (manual and electric) and materials (metal, glass, wood, etc.).
Understand proper tool handling and safety procedures.
Practice basic strokes and line work.
Learn how to create textures, shading, and depth.
Learn methods for transferring designs to surfaces and Practice layout planning and composition.
Apply learned techniques to complete a personal project (e.g., engraved plate, keychain, or glass item).
Encourage experimentation with design elements and engraving styles.
