Our  Hotel Catering and Tourism group prepared and created chicken goujons and wedges. This group are currently studying a module based on fast food and take aways.

Therefore, the lesson aim was to create a meal that would be typical of a fast food establishment using their own skills. The students were very proud of themselves as they used a number of skills throughout the lesson such as peeling, chopping and oven management.

The result was a beautiful home cooked meal which was very tasty, a meal which the students were proud of and eager to eat.

Students also carried out a price comparison and found that their home-cooked meal was significantly cheaper than if they were to purchase a similar meal in a local fast food establishment.

They were very proud and happy to learn that they were capable of creating a meal that was tasty and relatively inexpensive.
