it26 caec day trip to milan
29 janv. 2026The Erasmus+ students, together with their Italian hosts, took part in a full-day educational trip to Milano. The Erasmus groupvisited the city of Milano, a dynamic and modern city rich in historical and cultural heritage, located about 140 km from Casalmaggiore. In order to make the trip more environmentally friendly, the group travelled by train. Once in the city, students were able to move around easily on foot during a sightseeing tour. After getting off the train at Milano Lambrate station, the group had the experience of taking the well-known Milan underground, to reach the Science and Technology Museum, the largest science and technology museum in Italy. There, the students could have a look at many different sections of the museum, which included: the Space section, the Rail and Naval transport section, the Air transport section, the Energy and Materials section and the Telecommunications section. Afterwards, the group was taken to walk through some of the main streets in the city centre of Milan, stopping by at Castello Sforzesco, the main Medieval castle in Milan, and then walking through the city centre, the group reached the Duomo Cathedral, where some time has been given for students to take some pictures. Eventually, the group walked through the famous Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, to reach La Scala theatre. At that point, a few hours of free time were given to the group to have lunch and enjoy the city centre. Throughout the day, teachers encouraged students to socialise with one another and share the experience together.
Development of cultural knowledge, curiosity, and openness to different artistic and historical expressions. Strengthening of observation and interpretation skills, along with appreciation for cultural diversity and heritage preservation. Active use of foreign languages and intercultural communication in a real-world setting. Encouragement of respectful and responsible behaviour in public and cultural spaces. These results contribute to a greater sense of European identity, shared values, and the ability to connect cultural experience with personal growth and learning.
