LC - JOY – ESCAPE ROOM IN MILAN

During the day trip to Milan, Erasmus+ students and their Italian hosts participated in a team-based escape room activity. Divided into mixed-nationality groups, students entered themed rooms— Antarctica, Cabin in the Woods, The Tomb, Midnight Game, Inferno, Pirate Cave, Mayan Temple, and Winter Tale. Each room presented a unique narrative setting with challenges inspired by fantasy, horror, and historical adventure.

To succeed, students had to collaborate closely, think critically, communicate clearly, and manage both time and tasks as a team. Clues were given in English, allowing students to practise real-time language mediation and strengthen mutual understanding. The atmosphere was immersive and dynamic, offering an opportunity for students to bond across language and cultural barriers while having fun.

The activity reflected the Olympic value of Joy, by encouraging students to enjoy learning together, celebrate effort, and build positive group energy through shared challenges and achievements.
