DC – PERSEVERANCE: knowing the Olympic games
05 janv. 2025On Wednesday, November 27, a Kahoot quiz “Getting to Know the Olympics: Records and Curiosities” took place in all the classrooms of I.S. Romani. The students of the school had been given the "summer homework assignment" to watch the Paris 2024 Olympics, paying attention to the events, athletes, records, and curiosities that characterized them.
Following this assignement, a questionnaire was created on the “Kahoot” platform, so that all classes at Romani could answer the pre-set questions at the same time.
The students were engaged for about 1 hour to answer the questions and the winner group was 3C -ICT followed by the 5B science lyceum.
The game was organized in collaboration with the local (Cremona) Panathlon club aqnt Mr Giovanni Bozzetti, the President, was present in the school to give the prize: tickets to attend the football match between U.S.Cremonese and A.C. Reggiana
AIMS OF THE ACTIVITY:
To Increase Knowledge of Olympic History and Traditions
To assess students’ familiarity with specific details about the Paris 2024 Olympics, such as sports, venues, athletes, and schedule.
to inform students about eco-friendly practices and the steps taken to reduce the environmental impact of the Games
to encourage students to explore sports they may not be familiar with.
to raise awareness about the gender equality initiatives in the 2024 Olympics, such as the equal participation of men and women in sports
to encourage students to think critically about topics such as Olympic history, controversial moments, and the global impact of the Games.
