The awards ceremony for the Mini Olympic Games took place in the vibrant sports hall, transforming the space into a lively celebration of achievement and camaraderie. As participants gathered, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement, enhanced by music that filled the air and flags flying high, symbolizing the spirit of unity and international collaboration. 

Notable guests, including 2024 Olympic Bronze medalist Mona Mac Sharry and All-Star GAA footballer Michael Murphy, addressed the crowd, sharing inspiring messages that encouraged students to pursue their passions both in sports and academics. Their words resonated deeply, motivating the young athletes to strive for excellence in all their endeavors. 

The school principal and deputy principal took to the stage, offering heartfelt praise for the efforts of all participants and emphasizing the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship. Certificates of participation were awarded to each student, recognizing their hard work and commitment throughout the games. The ceremony not only celebrated individual achievements but also fostered a sense of community, leaving participants with cherished memories and renewed enthusiasm for future challenges.  

As the day came to a close, a farewell gathering was held, filled with treats, music, and games for our Erasmus+ students to enjoy. This final celebration provided an opportunity for everyone to relax and bond, solidifying friendships formed during the event and ensuring that the spirit of collaboration and joy continued long after the games had ended. 

Facilitated Transition for Incoming First-Year Students: The awards ceremony and farewell gathering provided a supportive environment for incoming first-year students entering CCBS, helping them acclimate to the school community and fostering connections with their peers and older students. Increased Motivation and Inspiration: Inspirational messages from distinguished athletes, such as Mona Mac Sharry and Michael Murphy, motivated students to pursue their athletic and academic goals, reinforcing the value of hard work and dedication. Celebration of Participation and Achievement: The distribution of certificates and recognition of each student's efforts during the Mini Olympic Games celebrated their achievements, encouraging a positive attitude towards sports, teamwork, and personal growth.
