We started on session with a sports crossword game, so that students could review and enriched their sports vocabulary. Thereafter the students had to conduct researches on our local athletes from Guadeloupe who had won olympic medals. Following those researches they had to make a numerical poster of their chosen local athete in order to make a presentation in from of the class.
As a final activity we organized a debate in class on the following question : "Should we build an Olympic training center in Guadeloupe ?" 
The debate was made of : 1 team for, 1 team against and a jury.

The students learnt a lot of new facts on our local athletes from Guadeloupe. They also learnt debate techniques : how to structure an argument, anticipate opposing claims, choose the right tone, respect the opposite team, find gestures to fill the lake of vocabulary.
