A short history of the language was presented, followed by an interactive session where students attempted to pronounce Irish names and learned common phrases. Through group activities and practice sessions, students engaged with the language, embracing the opportunity to communicate in Irish and connect with their heritage. Traditional Irish Music Performance: In the school's music room, students were briefed by the music teacher on the importance of music in Irish culture. They enjoyed a captivating musical performance by members of the school community, showcasing traditional Irish instruments and songs. Students had the chance to ask questions and deepen their understanding of the role of music in Irish heritage, fostering appreciation and respect for this aspect of their culture. Irish Dance Workshop: Students watched performances of traditional Irish dancing by their peers, inspiring them to learn and participate themselves. Divided into groups, students were taught céilí dances, immersing themselves in the rhythmic movements and lively atmosphere of Irish dance. Finally, students had the opportunity to showcase their newly acquired dance skills, coming together to perform at a céilí filled with joy and laughter.
