Aims and skills targeted : Games and challenges in a sports-themed escape room provide an engaging environment for students to compete and push their limits. Through these activities, they come to recognize that perseverance can empower them to achieve success and realize their potential. As they face the challenges of the escape room, students practice problem-solving, teamwork, and physical skills, and foster their ability to effectively communicate and negotiate with others, and to cope with uncertainty, ambiguity and risk as part of making informed decisions

In the sports-themed escape room, students are immersed in a series of challenges that test their physical abilities, teamwork, and problem-solving skills across various sports: a vaulting horse that they jump over to mimic the moves of gymnastics athletes, a volleyball-themed game, a basketball-hoop game, a baseball-themed area and a beam to walk across to test their balance. Each stage of the challenge encourages critical thinking and problem-solving skills, tests the students’ physical coordination and their ability to persevere in facing challenges while working in teams.

The first activity was called theBasketball Room. After a short explanation of the correct shooting technique in basketball. Students had to score two baskets in a maximum of three attempts per shooting position. The second activity was the Gymnastics room. After a specific warming up made for gymnastics. Students had to perform all the exercises in the circuit: Balance on the balance beam, completing sequences of movements on the balance beam walking forward and back without descending from the balance beam. Platform and vaulting horse: after running a short run-up and jumping on the platform, students leaped over the vaulting horse and landed on the mats. Trampoline and pirouette: students performed three jumps on the trampoline while maintaining control of the body and then performed a front pirouette on the mattresses. Then came the Baseball Room. After learning the correct batting technique they had 5 attempts to hit with the baseball bat the ball thrown by   team mate The Volley ball room was the fourth activity. After a short explanation of the correct technique. Students tried to hit the inside of the basket passing the volleyball net by hitting the ball with a bagher or a set. Finally, the last step was the Sports culture room. Using the Kahoot app on their mobile phone, students could choose a nickname and test their sports culture.

By overcoming the challenges of the escape room, students build resilience, confidence, and a sense of accomplishment. This experience not only reinforces the importance of perseverance but also highlights the important life lessons that can be learned through sports and cooperation.
