Aims and skills targeted :

Discover the local art, painters and paintings; explore the medium of watercolor paints and experiment with different techniques as demonstrated by the artist Ida Tentolini; Express values through art

The students were divided into three groups and one of them visited the local displays at the Diotti museum, met the artist Ida Tentolini and took part in the water colour workshop.,

First the students went on a guided tour through the works of art made by Giuseppe Diotti and other localItalian artists. The visit ended with a presentation of watercolour painting by artist Ida Tentoloni. After a presentation of her work and a demonstration of her watercolour techniques, the students were given equipment to test their own painting skills.

They were asked to think of the exchange experience they were doing, of the values and the key words of the project ( joy, solidarity, dignity, respect, friendship, brotherhood) and to use the colours to represent them and the feelings and emotions.

Results

Students learnt local art, painting techniques and how important art can be to express what one feels. They could also relax,  feel well, decrease depression, anxiety, and stress.
