EC Lidl Sport and Inclusion

At CCBS we organised a group of female students to take on the Lidl challenge. This was a national competition to identify a school who would benefit from funding for girls' football.

This began by getting our community to support the school and earn points from Lidl for their weekly shopping. This was highly successful with the school securing the regional prize and progressing as one of only 4 schools to the national competition.

For the national competition the whole school had to collaborate to mange this project. it involved promoting in and working with the local community, while bringing the project to a wider group of people across the country and indeed in many countries around the world.

The school successfully secured the national prize of €50,000 and this was a major boost to all the students who were involved with the project.

It all ended with a party in schopol with various members of the community included.
