CAE CONVICTION The fare of Olympic villages
30 avr. 2026
In order to alleviate the workload during the lessons, the students were working in two separate, larger groups. The two groups took different approaches to looking up the information about the Olympic villages. While one group worked on the most current Olympics in chronological order, the other group selected preferred Olympic villages throughout the history. In combination, the approaches offered a concise overview of the past and current use of the Olympic villages through the history.
Within the larger groups, students were subsequently divided into 4 smaller groups. Each group worked independently on their selected Olympic village. The students gained information about the operation and use of the various Olympic villages in the past, as well as gained an insight into their current use. Subsequently, student used the collected information and included them into a presentation, which they presented in front of their classmates together. Thus, students not only learned information about their own selected Olympic villages, but those selected by their classmates too. Moreover, students improved not only their knowledge and collaborative skills, but also their digital and presentation skills.
A result of their collaborative effort is a podcast, created by the students, which provides a further insight into the various faiths of the chosen Olympic villages.
The students cooperated in the activity, learned about the faith of numerous Olympic villages and summarised in the podcast.
