SK25 PSLL DEMOCRACY Larp game
13 mai 2025A live action role-playing game (LARP) is a form of role-playing game where the participants physically portray their characters. The players pursue goals within a fictional setting represented by real-world environments while interacting with each other in character. The outcome of player actions may be mediated by game rules or determined by consensus among players. Event arrangers called gamemasters decide the setting and rules to be used and facilitate play.
And this is what students could experience at school. The game took 3 hours and at the beginning they were divided into 5 groups - planets, on which they lived and had to solve many problems throughout the game. The planets had various conditions and students had to cope with many different situations. They had to cooperate and find the best solutions to make the planet survive. Students played their roles and fulfilled their task very actively and with a great deal of participation. Finally, they presented their planets and the results they had. It was very interesting for the students because they were put into situations they had never been before and had to look at the problems from a very different point of view. They had to follow the democratic values and identify with their roles.
The students cooperated in their groups and each of them had its voice heard. They democratically made decisions and ruled their planets. It resulted in a very interesting discussion in the end about how important it is to respect each other and how hard it is sometimes to tolerate and understand others.
