Gaisce 2025 - Perseverence!
03 juin 2025In March, our Transition and Fifth Year students successfully completed their Gaisce Adventure Journey, a key component of both the Bronze and Silver Gaisce Awards. these awards are issued by the President of Ireland. This journey offers participants the opportunity to explore the outdoors, develop resilience and perseverance, and challenge themselves in a supportive and scenic environment.
For the Bronze Award, students took part in a 25km hike with an overnight stay, while those pursuing the Silver Award completed a two-night stay and a more demanding 50km trek.
This year’s adventure took place at Ox Mountain Glamping in County Sligo. The stunning natural landscape of the Ox Mountains provided the perfect backdrop for hiking, reflection, and connection with nature.
Evenings were filled with fun and games around the campfire, as well as team bonding activities that brought students closer together. It was a truly memorable few days for everyone involved, one filled with perseverance, accomplishment, laughter, and lasting memories.
