Students participated in a Traditional Food Workshop aimed at immersing them in the rich culinary traditions of Ireland. The workshop began with a brief overview of the history of food in Ireland, highlighting the cultural significance of traditional dishes. Students were then treated to live samples of various traditional Irish desserts and tea foods, allowing them to experience the flavours and textures firsthand.  Following the tasting session, students eagerly participated in a hands-on demonstration led by the home economics teacher. Guided step by step, students learned how to create homemade scones, a beloved staple of Irish cuisine. Working in groups, they applied their newfound knowledge and culinary skills to mix, knead, and shape the dough, before eagerly awaiting the results of their baking endeavours.  The aroma of freshly baked scones filled the room as students eagerly sampled the fruits of their labour.
