This year we decided to do a very important project on a subject that affects a lot of teens: Bullying. Thanks to our teachers, we were able to discuss a very sensitive topic and improve, not only our language skills, but also our acting and groupwork .

Research and groupwork

The first day of work our French teacher made us watch a short but impactful video about bullying. From that moment we were divided into groups and all of us started to cooperate, so that we could all have a part in the project

Drama group

A group was formed by six students chosen to perform a bullying scene at school. One girl was the victim who was mocked, humiliated by three bullies, and then three other girls who were the witnesses who acted in defense of the victim, to free her from the insults and humiliations she had received. Two other girls were the narrators, so those who read the text during the scene: One had to speak in french and the other translated it in Italian

Creative group

The people who couldn't take part in the performance were in charge of the creative side of the project: they made billboards and posters with the keywords and drawings that fitted the topic and wrote some slogans to make the project even more appealing.

All the things created by this group were used as decorations or as actual props to help the classmates that were acting.

The  Romani school night 

It was possible to see the billboards, the posters and our acting skills during the "Romani school night" that was held  on January 19th . During the evening, each class of our school was able to entertain middle school children and their parents with a chosen project or activity, but also have fun with other classes and see what they had to offer.

To represent this project we chose the title "The Romani against bullying".

This project has given us the opportunity to put ourselves in the shoes and to live the experiences that many young people face daily, most of which suffer a lot because of bullying. We tried to best represent an episode, but even pretending was difficult for us. We understand that the consequences of bullying can be serious for today as for tomorrow, so we should never underestimate any situation. We must try to help those in need and not let the situation get worse.

Some of the main objectives of this project are the promotion of respect for the person, the understanding of the value of dignity and the attempt to break the silence and stop bullying in all its forms. This is because each voice counts and together against intimidation we can cultivate respect. We dare to act and say stop, we stop being spectators and we become actors of a better future because we stop bullying together.
