On the morning of May 6, 2026, the Mini Désirade Games brought together all the students of Collège Maryse Condé, as well as the Erasmus+ project exchange partners, for a large-scale sporting and cultural event held at the La Désirade stadium. This event, part of the Erasmus Respectol project, allowed students to share a moment of cooperation, discovery, and personal growth through several sports and educational workshops: acrobatic sports, sports nutrition, first aid, a basketball challenge, a biathlon workshop, table tennis, and a grand final relay race involving all participants. Divided into mixed teams of girls and boys, students of different ages and nationalities, the participants were supported throughout the morning by teachers and school staff. This organization fostered mutual support, solidarity, and communication among the young Europeans present. A highlight of the event was the reading of the Olympic oath in several languages: Creole, French, English, Slovak, Greek, and Italian. This symbolic ceremony showcased the linguistic and cultural richness of the Erasmus project while reaffirming the importance of respect, friendship, and excellence—fundamental values of Olympism. Through these Mini Games in Désirade, the students experienced firsthand the objectives of the Respectol project: learning to live together better, respecting differences, cooperating, and sharing common experiences through sport and cultural exchange. This morning also strengthened the bonds between the middle school students and their European exchange partners in a spirit of fraternity and citizenship.
