In this lesson, students learned about the Slovak heritage of wirecraft, which is inscribed on the UNESCO list. This traditional form of art and craft has a long history. First, students mapped the craft's history and symbols, then created and delivered presentations for their classmates. Afterwards, each student was given a wire and tasked with creating a laurel wreath using traditional Slovak symbols.

The finished laurel wreaths were then used during a ceremony for Action 29 – The First Olympic Games.

The students, learnt about heritage of the Slovak wirecraft, mapped its history, impact and symbols. They then cooperated on preparing an engaging presentation developing their collaboration, cultural awareness and presentation skills. Then each student worked on improving their creativity and manual skill creating their own wreath.
