25 mars 2026The activity took place in the school lab and was structured into several stages focusing on research, analysis, and reflection on doping in the Olympic Games. In the first stage, students were introduced to the concept of fair play and discussed why honesty and equality are important in sports. Through guided questions, they explored why some athletes might choose to use banned substances and how pressure, competition, and expectations can influence their decisions. Students shared their opinions and personal views on whether success is meaningful without fairness. In the second stage, students were divided into small groups and assigned different research topics. Some groups focused on the scientific aspect of doping, including types of substances and their effects on performance. Other groups researched the health risks and long-term consequences for athletes. Additional groups examined the history of doping control, the role of organizations such as the International Olympic Committee and the International Testing Agency, as well as the procedures used in testing. Other groups explored famous doping scandals and their impact on public trust in sport. In the third stage, students organized their findings, selected key information, and prepared group presentations. Each group presented its topic, explaining important concepts, real-life examples, and statistical data. Students were encouraged to ask questions and engage actively during presentations, promoting interaction and deeper understanding. In the final stage, a guided discussion and reflection activity followed. Students evaluated the consequences of doping not only for athletes but also for society and the image of sport. They discussed how education, strict rules, and personal responsibility can help promote clean sport. The activity concluded with students reflecting on how the values of honesty, respect, and integrity apply to their own lives both inside and outside school.
