Boris Vian Cross-Country 2025

The annual cross-country program at Boris Vian Middle School serves as a vital platform for student development, designed to help pupils master motor skills, embrace social roles and responsibilities, and learn to respect their own physical limits. By encouraging students to get involved in the organization and collective spirit of the day, the event fosters both personal growth and community engagement.

On Tuesday, October 7, 2025, these objectives came to life as the school hosted its annual cross-country race. Under bright autumn skies, more than 380 middle school students and nearly 200 elementary school pupils from Coudekerque‑Branche took part in this eagerly awaited event, which combined a friendly atmosphere with a spirit of healthy competition.

Throughout the afternoon, the runners demonstrated determination and enthusiasm, supported by their classmates, teachers, and many parents who contributed to the organization or came to encourage the participants. All students, regardless of their abilities, were congratulated for their effort, motivation, and exemplary team spirit. Special recognition went to the winners for their outstanding performances.

The event’s success was a true team effort, driven by the PE department’s leadership and the invaluable support of our staff, parent, and student volunteers.

Following the school race, 36 students were selected to represent Boris Vian Middle School at the district cross-country meet held on Wednesday, November 13, in Malo. The athletes took on a beautiful yet demanding course that led them through sand and dunes before finishing at the Licorne Stadium. This year’s route required significant courage and commitment.

Of the 36 students who competed, 26 qualified for the departmental cross-country race in Villeneuve‑d’Ascq in early December. They achieved excellent results and displayed strong team spirit throughout the competition.
