FR25 MSTE- Determination- CAREER ORIENTATION DAYS
02 juil. 2025Over two separate days - in November 2024 and February 2025 - our 9th grade students participated in immersive experiences to explore career paths and meet vocational high school students, helping them prepare for their future choices.
On the 29th November 2024, our students went to CEI.BA and met Mrs. Bajazet, Operations Manager, who detailed how CEI.BA digitizes maritime and airport logistics. They learned how the company processes user requests and provides ongoing support via the Port Community System.
In the afternoon they went to Klingeley, a corrugated cardboard plant company, producing high-quality corrugated cardboard and corrugated cardboard packaging. Under Mr. Maurinier’s guidance, students toured the Klingeley factory. They discovered each production stage of high‑quality corrugated cardboard and packaging, and explored local job opportunities in this sector.
On the 20th February 2025, the 9th grade students had an outing at the Lycée Polyvalent Nord-Grande-Terre, where they sampled various vocational programs—industrial engineering, hairdressing, childcare assistance, and more—gaining firsthand insight into the courses available when they enter high school.
These career days enabled students to understand real‑world professions and daily responsibilities. The also identify required skills and qualifications for different fields. Finally they refine their high‑school and career choices with greater confidence. By engaging directly with industry professionals and vocational teachers, students made more informed decisions about their academic and professional futures.
