The week began with a welcome with the arrival of the French and Irish students to school. Slovak teachers unveiled the programme that awaited the students throughout the week. To mark this opening, Slovak students have prepared a short concert which created a warm atmosphere. After the welcome, students were divided into three teams composed of students of all nationalities. The students in each team had the entire week to prepare a presentation on the theme of democracy. Topics included: “Democracy, Past and Present”, “Volunteering”, “Answering the Challenges of Democracy”, and “Democracy and Me”. This was a great opportunity to exchange ideas about civic visions across Europe.

Then the entire group headed to the high school auditorium, where each country presented its school from the perspective of democracy, human rights and voluntary work projects in each school. This was an opportunity to discover the unique characteristics of each country but also to appreciate the common values we share.

The students joyfully cooperated in activities, presented their schools and discussed different aspects of their school lives.
