SK25 CC SOLIDARITY Lecture on the 1st transport of Jewish girls
14 mai 2025The students were given a historical tour of the school building highlighting the and transportation of Jewish people in 1942 to Auschwitz as the building was a military headquarters during World War II. The students were shown a memory board displaying examples of anti-Jewish propaganda and a detailed timeline of events. In addition to the tour, the students participated in a role-play activity in which they were divided into groups portraying various perspectives: a Jewish family, a non-Jewish family, a group of friends, and a young couple where the boy was Jewish and the girl was the daughter of a Nazi officer. Each group was presented with various situations requiring them to choose how they would react when faced with Nazi officials. The exercise highlighted the need for empathy, encouraged thoughtful decision-making, and underscored the value of defending human rights. The central takeaway was to recognize and appreciate the freedoms we have in the present day.
Discussion - the students shared their impressions of the tour and and role-play activity.
