GR25 CAEC - RESPECT - Educational Visit to the Acropolis
21 févr. 2025During the visit to the Acropolis, students explored the Parthenon, the Erechtheion, and the Theater of Dionysus, reflecting on their importance as symbols of democracy, culture, and excellence. Guided by experts, they examined the architectural achievements and artistic heritage of ancient Greece and discussed how these values inspired the Olympic spirit.
A key focus was placed on the value of Respect, both in terms of the ancient world’s dedication to harmony and cooperation and in the students’ role as responsible visitors. Teachers emphasized the importance of preserving cultural landmarks and respecting historical sites.
Following the tour, students participated in a reflection session, discussing how the Olympic ideals of Heritage and Respect remain relevant today. They shared insights into the impact of cultural exchange, linking their experience to the broader Erasmus+ themes of unity and shared European heritage.
Students engaged in meaningful discussions, demonstrating a deeper appreciation for cultural heritage and the importance of preserving historical sites. They improved their ability to express ideas in an international setting, enhancing both public speaking and cross-cultural communication skills.
