FRG25 CAE-ENGAGE Courage Danse show
15 févr. 2025On Friday, February 14, the students presented a one-hour show. They did a dress rehearsal in the afternoon. This show, intended for parents and all the inhabitants of the island, allowed them to show the work done during the week of residency. Class after class, each group presented a choreography on the theme of departure. The boat in the background and the marina were the most appropriate spaces for this theme. At the end of the show, the Tantak and Hedo collectives showed their contemporary dance production. The students had to: work within a group by pooling the skills of each person in order to compose and perform a collective choreography; Develop a culture of empathy based on respect for others and values of solidarity, particularly in favor of greater diversity between girls and boys; Promote a personal contribution within a collective by sharing a message with an audience; Improve self-confidence and listening to one's own body for better management of one's physical, mental and social well-being, in particular through work on breathing, concentration, or emotions; Learn to understand the stage space and assert oneself in public; Nourish one's creativity by meeting artists and practicing; Approach works from different repertoires to build an imagination with multiple references and aesthetics; Open one's eyes to the world by discovering different aesthetics and exploring the cultural diversity from which they emanate.
The enthusiasm and emotion were palpable among the spectators, who expressed their gratitude and admiration for the quality of the work presented. Many stressed the importance of such cultural initiatives to energize local life and offer an artistic opening to young people and families. The students were proud to participate in this show.
