SK24 PSLL JOY TANAP Tatra National Park
09 nov. 2024
On November 9th, 2024 at 9 am, we left our hotel Villa Siesta to reach Smokovec, a nice mountain borough to start our healthy and relaxing walking to the ravishing High Tatra mountains. We split in two groups-better to say teams- and we started a six hours ’hiking walk to go through the amazing landscapes of Slovakja. The teams were divided according to the physical endurance of the participants. Some of us continued up to an altitude of 1,300 meters straight to The Sherpa Lodge to enjoy a delightful cup of tea made up of local herbs and sipped a sweet gentian liquor. The Sherpas have virtually disappeared from the mountain areas across Europe, except for Slovakja’s Tatra National Park where they have been surviving as to supply isolated mountain lodges with essential goods. Despite the occasional challenges of the trail, our walking hours were really joyful and cheerful as we shared all our passions from Nature to sports as well as cuisine and traditions. That’s the great opportunity the Erasmus project provides both teachers and students who are given the chance to share and disseminate ideas and contents as well as emotions.
Our partners discovered a part of the High Tatras region learnt information about its history, nature and culture and relaxed in one of the most popular tourist resorts.
