FR24BV PSLL Determination - Sports activities in the PAarc in Gravelines

On Tuesday, May 14th, during a hosting week in Coudekerque-Brance, the 40 Irish, Slovakian and French students spent an afternoon at the PAarc in Gravelines. The PAarc des Rives de l'Aa is a sports base dedicated to top-level teams, offering unprecedented training facilities. It is also a genuine leisure center where they had different sport activities, both indoors and outdoors.

The aims of the activity were: to develop physical skills involved in collaborative sport activities, to boost friendship, and build relationships with peers, to practise physical activities and exchange with other students in full respect of the rules and the others, to know one's body and try to push its limits, to improve physical and mental health and to practise English without stress in a playful and engaging way.

The students were welcomed at the PAarc in Gravelines and were divided into two teams.

They took part in the following activities:

1) Ergometer, indoor rowing machine
2) Biathlon laser shooting. It combines laser rifle shooting with running, the precision of target shooting and the physical effort of running.
These activities gave the students a beautiful, funny and unforgettable experience.

All the students regardless of their abilities, took part in the activities with great enthusiasm. It was a real success..

They continued to work on getting to know each other while practising games together.

 in a friendly environment and having fun while communicating in English and French.

They developed strength, balance and coordination skills, concentration, precision and speed. They also put into practice the values of Olympism and sport in general.
