PSLL JOY EU Day of Languages

The activity was divided into 2 sections. In the first one, the group of students organisers prepared the sport and culture activities for the rest of the school, as regularly for the EU Day of Languages. This time it was connected with sports and culture. They prepared activities for French, Italian, English, German, Russian and Spanish learners. Activities contained for example Tour de France, running with the sausages, salsa dance, cricket. During the day, 350 students could take part in various sport and cultural activities at different language stalls. They could learn some very specific words, taste the country - eat their traditional food or sing and dance their traditional songs. All this was tutored by language teachers and at the end of the day, students enriched their knowledge at countries´cultures. While taking part in sport activities, students were competing with/against other and had to cooperate with their teams. They improved their social skills and had to help each other. Respecting each other and following the rules, they learned the fair-play spirit of sport. 

Students were impressed by the variety of sport and different cultural habits. They enjoyed the activities and learn how sport can join all nations with different language skills and approach.
