The students were gathered at the school lab after school hours.
We watched a short movie “Winning Olympic Gold with Half a Lung - Santiago Lange | Against All Odds”, that explains how  Argentine sailor and six-time Olympian Santiago Lange lost half a lung to cancer but still went on to win his first Olympic gold medal at Rio 2016 at the age of 54.

Students did some research in the internet for athletes who showed extraordinary determination, overcame themselves, won medals and are remembered by all. They found examples of sportsmen and women who, although they had a bad time, eventually managed to get back on their feet and gain the respect of the world and the public.

Students worked in groups of two or three.

For their presentation, students chose chariots of fire by Vangelis as their background music. It is a well known song by a Greek composer that is relevant with the Olympic Games
