The activity took place at the school lab and was organized into four main stages.

In the first stage, students were introduced to the history of the modern Olympic Games and discussed the importance of hosting the Olympics for cities and countries. A short brainstorming activity helped students share what they already knew about Olympic host cities and boycotts.

In the second stage, students worked in small groups and researched different aspects of the topic. Some groups focused on identifying countries and cities that hosted the Olympic Games, while others researched countries that refused to participate and the reasons behind their decisions. Students used credible sources such as the official Olympic website, historical articles, and documentaries.

In the third stage, groups organized their findings and prepared short presentations. Each group presented its results to the class, explaining historical facts and political contexts.

In the final stage, a guided discussion followed, helping students reflect on how international relations, conflicts, and values influence global sporting events like the Olympics.
