FRJB25 EC DIVERSITY EU Games
08 nov. 2025Spanish, Lithuanian and Italian students are divided into five groups. In each group, French students created three games to test knowledge (history, geography, traditions, music) about Europe before the hosting week and run them.
The first game consists of locating 10 countries (European Union countries with which students from all French secondary schools are carrying out an Erasmus+ project : Italy, Romania, Serbia, Portugal, Poland, Spain, Cyprus, Greece and Lithuania) on a blank map of Europe. Then, they have to match each of these countries with cards showing the flags, traditional clothing and traditional dishes of each country.
The second game is a werewolf game set in Europe. The French students first remind us that the aim of this game is to discover who the werewolves are and eliminate them before they kill the villages. The wolves are trying to kill all the villagers and take control of the village. Then they explain how the game works, how to win, and give them tips. The roles and power are : 1. Peacekeepers (Witch) 2. Court of Justice (Hunter) 3. Villagers 4. Russian Government (Werewolves) 5. Parliamentary Stenographer (Insomniac) 6. Ursula von der Leyen (Mayor).
The third game is about European music : after giving a short introduction to Eurovision, the French students test Spanish, Lithuanian and Italian students' knowledge of the event’s history and how it works, then play them six songs that have won the contest, which they must match to the country they represented. At the end, everyone votes for their favourite song in the blind test, and the points are counted in the Eurovision style before the final result is announced : ‘And the winner is...!’
The students enjoy this activity, firstly because it is the first activity of their mobility programme, which allow them to get to know each other through games that encourage them to work together and compete with each other. They are then curious to discover the festivals of the partner schools' countries and become aware of the diversity of practices in Europe, which enrich their understanding of the world and promote intercultural dialogue. Finally, these games help them to develop knowledge about Europe and a sense of belonging to Europe.
