The group participating on this tasks consisted of students who have chosen social studies/civics as one of their main subjects to study, possible at their chosen university in their future. 

The students were divided into 2 groups, most of them were 2nd and 3rd graders of our grammar school. At the beginning, the teacher introduced goal principles of the EU, core visions of the institutions of EU, later on described integration of  Slovakia into the EU.

We have a cooperation  with Europe Direct agency, and the key speakers later on described actual visions, tasks, challenges that EU has been facing. Also, why it is important to  celebrate May 9th.

Then, the students moved to the classroom, where they were divided into 8 teams. Through various types of activities, they shared the information about EU, democracy, unity, peace, solidarity. The activities included interviews, discussions, pros and cons. Also, they discussed current politics of Slovakia in comparison with the core ideology of the EU.

The students  cooperated in all  activities, presented their opinions  and discussed different aspects of  EU visions.Celebrating May 9th, with promoting positive attitudes towards European union.
