SK24 Best action PSLL - JOY – Garden party

Description :

Students prepared and organised the Garden Party for the whole school to enjoy the end of the school year. Before the Party, there were 50 organiser who regularly met and discussed the activities, refreshments, music, cultural activities and decorations for the party. Representatives of each class chose which part of the organisation they wanted to prepare. Eventually, they agreed and involved their classmates into the preparation phase. This helped all students to understand what it all takes to organise an activity for 500 people. They also agreed on being eco-friendly and suggested bringing own cups instead plastic cups.  And being involved made the Party even more appreciated by them. On the day, they could see and enjoy everything they prepared. There was summer music played, students could taste various drinks and food, play all kinds of games and sports, read books, or just chill in the garden with their friends. This day showed even that students of your school are cooperative and friendly as the older ones helped the younger to be more daring and involved them into the games. The older ones improved their management skills. The Party was a very successful activity resulting in new friendships, relax and joy.

Aims and skills targeted :

-to socialize and improve social competences at various competitions (respect, fair-play), to learn how to cooperate at organising, to learn to respect and accept others opinions and arguments, to improve communication skills, to help to break the shyness

Results : 

Students enriched themselves in new skills and experience. They enjoyed the day and relieved after the hard weeks of studying. They experienced that the school in not only the place for studying but also the place for finding new friends, fun, comfort and peace.
