FRBV26 Hosting week - French Students' Survey Debrief
25 mars 2026The analysis of the satisfaction questionnaires confirms that the French students greatly appreciated this welcome week, rich in discoveries and exchanges. The various workshops—such as the biology escape game, the “Sport and Inclusion” session, and the activity on inequalities in sport—were particularly well received, combining educational value with engaging, hands‑on experiences. The excursions to Nausicaá, Bruges and Brussels also generated strong enthusiasm, offering both cultural enrichment and moments of conviviality.
Beyond these activities, the programme contributed to the development of key skills and knowledge. Students strengthened their language abilities, particularly in English, and deepened their civic and cultural awareness through themes such as inclusion, gender equality, and European citizenship. They also enhanced their teamwork, critical‑thinking, and communication skills, notably through debates, collaborative tasks, and presentations.
Interpersonal outcomes were largely positive: most students reported excellent relationships with their partners, with several friendships continuing beyond the exchange. A few pairs experienced more difficulties, often linked to language barriers or shyness, but overall the human dimension of the programme remains highly encouraging
