On Friday, October 10, 2025, Erasmus+ students from 4th and 3rd forms at the Collège Boris Vian spent an inspiring afternoon at the Lycée Jean Bart in Dunkirk to celebrate Erasmus Days. The aims of that visit were also to Introduce middle school students to the Erasmus+ programme and its opportunities in high school, encourage interest in mobility experiences such as week‑long or month‑long exchanges and their benefits, highlight how international projects support personal growth, autonomy, and openness, participate in cooperative games and discussions and  build confidence through peer‑to‑peer exchange and finally improve digital skills and language skills by practising English through posters, presentations, and games

The high school’s 2nd and 1st  form Erasmus+ students, together with their teachers, welcomed our group with enthusiasm. They had prepared a series of fun, interactive, and culturally rich workshops designed to share with younger students their experience as Erasmus f European citizens and highlight the further opportunities offered by European mobility programmes.

Throughout the afternoon, the middle school students explored a variety of activities, including:

  • European country posters created and presented in English by 2nd form Erasmus+ students
  • A dynamic presentation on Erasmus+ mobility, led by 1st formers, explaining how week‑long or month‑long stays abroad work, complete with a real example
  • A collaborative “Erasmus word cloud”, where each participant added the word they associate with the programme
  • An interactive Kahoot quiz on European exchanges and conferences
  • Original games designed by the high school students, such as European Werewolf, a custom card game, and a Eurovision‑themed quiz where players had to identify European songs

This lively and enriching afternoon provided our students with a clear vision of what the Erasmus+ programme looks like at the high school level. Beyond the educational benefits, it was a heartwarming moment of exchange, uniting younger and older students through curiosity and a shared European spirit.

Our students were deeply impressed by the Lycée students' English proficiency and the self-confidence they’ve clearly gained through their Erasmus travels. It was a wonderful experience that left everyone inspired and eager for their own future adventures across Europe.
