FRBV25 CAE SHARE: Joy Certificates and Farewell party
06 mars 2025On Monday, March 10th, the now traditional Erasmus+party took place at the Lycée Jean Bart, which is our partner in the RESpectOl project The Lycée was hosting a group of Estonian, Portuguese, Italian, Irish and Slovakian students at the time and it was a good opportunity for everyone to meet up, get to know each other and share moments together. The parents were also invited and took part in the event. The Principal of the Lycée and the Erasmus + coordinator said a few words of welcome and thanked the parents, the teachers and the students. Mrs Romoli, Principal of the Italian Lycée partner in the project also gave a small speech. After that, to close the hosting week the students each received their certicates of attendance and some small presents. Pictures were taken, to a well-deserved and sustained round of applause.. Then the party itself started. A carnival band arrived and the musicians played traditional tunes. Everybody started dancing, following the rules and steps of Dunkerque carnival. The students had been asked to wear a carnival costume as we were in full carnival time. Dunkerque is very famous for that tradition.
All nationalities mixed up and had great fun. After that typical experience, the students spent the rest of the evening dancing to more modern rhyhthms. The party ended at 11.p.m.
The students had a lot of fun and shared great moments together. They created new bonds with students from different European nationalities and had the real feeling of being part of a European community.
During the presentation of the certificates, the students were very proud and happy. They all felt equal, respected and valued. That improved their self-confidence. They also improved their knowledge of the traditional carnival of Dunkerque
