During several EPS sessions the students prepared themselves, they learned to manage their effort, to make choices to achieve the best performance, to engage in an individual or collective preparation program, to plan and perform a combined event and warm up before an effort. They also had to be able to help their comrades and assume different social roles (judge of appeal and progress, timekeeper, measurement judge, organizer, collector of results, etc.). On the day of the relay, they had to run to be in groups of the 4 best. A nation and its flag were associated with each group of torchbearers. School children also participated, they made Olympic flames out of paper and cardboard. They were encouraged by parents and teachers. A presentation of cups, medals and diplomas was organized, allowing the students to find themselves in the same situation as “real” Olympic champions. The distribution of snacks was also an opportunity to get the students to question the nutrition and hydration of athletes. All the students participated and gave the best of themselves in this activity, they also encouraged and supported their classmates of all ages
