VIRTUAL MEETINGS College 2024 (France, Ireland, Slovakia)
01 juil. 2024The first virtual meeting took place on January 9th at 10 a.m., French time.
The French Erasmus+ students were gathered together in the school library and were very excited at the prospect of seeing the Slovakian students from Poprad and Irish students from Ballyshannon, with whom they were going to exchange during the year. Due to technical problems, especially a bad connection, the meeting was a little disrupted and could not be carried out in very good conditions. However, our students were able to introduce themselves and discover their future partners.
On Tuesday, February 20th, a second virtual meeting was organised with the same partners.
This time, as the pairing had been done, the students were very happy to see their correspondent and exchange a few words with them about the future mobility and the RESpectOl actions.
The last virtual meeting took place on May 28th at 10 a.m.
Unfortunately, the Irish group could not join us because the Irish students were sitting exams. So, the meeting was attended by Slovak and French students only. The Slovak students talked about their experience in Ireland and it was fun to hear them say the few words in Gaelic they had learnt during their stay. They also presented some RESpectOl actions they did during the term. For their part, the French students gave a feedback of their stay in Poprad, Slovakia. They shared what they discovered, how they felt, what they learnt during the week spent there. They also showed they had memorized some Slovak words. In addition, they presented three RESpectOl actions carried out during the year and how they benefited from them and from the project in general.
To conclude, we can say that these virtual meetings were very profitable and enjoyable. The first one gave the students the opportunity to see each other before meeting and in a way reassure them. The others allowed us the strengthen the bonds between the students and avoid too long periods of time without connection between them. These meetings raised everyone's awareness of being all part of the same project, of belonging to a community without borders.
