The students go to the city centre of Lille where French students present for an hour different sites of the city.

Civil heritage : the remains of the Rihour palace built in the 15th century by the Dukes of Valois-Burgundy where the emperor Charles V stayed), the Old Stock Exchange designed in the 17th (witness to the period of prosperity in the economic and commercial history of Lille) and the new Stock Exchange ( Chamber of Commerce and Industry and its neoflemish style belfry), the Rang Beauregard in the 17th century (a row of 14 private wooden houses),

Religious heritage : the cathedral Notre-Dame-de-la Treille whose construction began in the middle of the 19th century to be completed in 1999, a composite building (neo-Gothic and modern), the Hospice Comtesse founded in the 13th century by Jeanne de Constantinople (Countess of Flanders) 

Converted military buildings such as the Théâtre du Nord (former guard corps of the city garrison)

Cultural heritage : the Hospice Comtesse which houses a museum dedicated to life in Flanders from the Middle Ages to the Revolution, the Théâtre du Nord (a national drama centre), the Opera at the beginning of the 20th century (with an Italian-style hall that presents performances of the opera, dance and music repertoire each year), the Tri Postal (former building for mail sorting converted in 2004 -Lille 2004, European Capital of Culture- into an exhibition space )

The Déesse Column, a monument inaugurated in 1845 that commemorates the heroism of Lille during the siege of Lille in 1792, or the Statue of the 3 Graces, symbolizing the provinces of the former Nord-Pas-de-Calais region (Artois, Flanders and Hainaut)
